Kickstarter - BR Walls Project
I just backed this project on Kickstarter, and so should you. It’s an attempt to turn downtown Baton Rouge into a canvas. I’m excited about this project. Any amount helps.

You see, I think he better than anyone understood that while ideas ultimately can be so powerful, they begin as fragile, barely formed thoughts, so easily missed, so easily compromised, so easily just squished.Jonathan Ive

Nothing amazing ever happens here.
Everything is ordinary.
Ups and downs are funny things. Up one second, down the next, up the next, down the next, up the next, down the next, up the next
You’re right. Nothing ever amazing happens to anyone. Amazing isn’t something that just happens. Amazing is something you do. Amazing is something that you chose to become. So do it. Chose it. Become it.

Falling in Love
I don’t like when people say that they “fell in love”. That phrase makes it sound passive. Just like you don’t chose to stumble in your gait, it makes it seem like love was involuntary, that you didn’t select to feel that way. That’s inaccurate. It doesn’t reflect what love truly is. Love is an act. It’s that feeling that you get when you wake up next to that girl and you realize that she’s not just another person in your life. The consciousness to say that you’d gladly put your dreams and hopes on hold for her. That knowledge that she’s the most important thing you’ve ever had. The choice of putting aside everything you hold dear to be near her, to give her your full attention at every second. The hope that you’ll get to spend your life with her in your arms. Love is very much active. Love is a choice. Love is an act.

Put This On: Twenty-Five Pieces of Basic Sartorial Knowledge So You Don't Look Dumb
When I’m interviewed about Put This On, I’m almost invariably asked “what are the fashion mistakes you see men make every day?” or “what is the most basic style knowledge men often don’t have?”
That’s the kind of stuff I usually leave off this blog. After all: you’re discerning and tasteful!…
Great list. I only disagree with number 19: I love my square-toed shoes.
